Dr Jérémie Lemarié
MD | PhD, University of Lorraine, France
Dr Jeremie Lemarie is a cardiologist and intensive care physician (faculty of Medicine of Nancy, France). He is involved in both clinical (strain echocardiography of the right ventricle) and fundamental research. Between 2012 and 2015, he undertook a PhD (University of Lorraine, France) exploring the role of TREM1, an amplifier of the innate immune response, and its modulation post myocardial infarction.
In 2018, he received an Endeavour Research Fellowship from the Australian Department of Education and Training and joined the Oxidative Stress laboratory at the Baker Institute as a Postdoctoral Researcher. His work is currently aimed at finding modulators of the oxidative stress-induced activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway during severe experimental infection models.
