Associate Professor Burrell is a Senior Intensive Care Specialist at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne; NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellow; Co-Lead of SPRINT-SARI Australia, the National ICU COVID-19 Registry, Chief Priniciple Investigator of REMAP-CAP Austrailia, and colead of the ECMO program at the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) at Monash University. He is a Chief Investigator on grant funding of >$40 million including >$7 million as CIA. He has >160 publications.
