The Melbourne Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance study is inviting volunteers to join an exciting research project to establish innovative non-invasive heart imaging techniques.

Who can participate?

Adults aged 18 years and over.

This research is being conducted at the Baker Institute in Prahran, Melbourne.

What is involved?

  • One or two visits to Baker Institute (approximately 3 hours).
  • An advanced heart MRI scan.
  • One or more of the following:
    • echocardiography
    • electrocardiogram
    • static bicycle exercise test (VO2 max)
    • 6-minute walk test
    • blood sample
    • health questionnaire

Some participants may be asked if they would be interested in repeat scans at a later date.

What are the benefits of this study?

Participants will be contributing to important health research and receive a free detailed heart-health assessment.
