The Australian Cardiovascular Disease Data Commons (ACDC) is a secure, scalable cloud platform that brings together Australia's major cardiovascular cohorts and their molecular profiling data in one place. Built on the open-source Gen3 data commons framework, it links genomic, proteomic, metabolomic and blood sample data across cohorts so researchers can ask bigger questions of larger, harmonised datasets.
ACDC enables the discovery and validation of new biomarkers, therapeutic targets and risk predictors for coronary artery disease, supporting a full translational pipeline from data to clinical practice.
Who we work with
The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute leads ACDC in partnership with Bioplatforms Australia, Australian BioCommons, Australian Cardiovascular Alliance, University of Sydney, 23Strands, CSL and multiple data custodians. Together, partners contribute to platform infrastructure, cohort onboarding, data harmonisation, testing, governance and researcher training.
