Haikun Liu is a Research Officer in the Molecular Imaging and Nanotherapeutics lab. His research focuses on developing novel mRNA delivery systems for cardiovascular disease.

mRNA therapies have attracted significant attention since their successful use during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, their application to cardiovascular disease remains limited by the lack of safe, efficient delivery systems that can target specific tissues and sustain therapeutic protein expression. Haikun’s research addresses this challenge using nanoparticle-based delivery approaches.
