Dr Kurt Brassington is a biomedical scientist with a strong interest in cardiovascular biology, working out of the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in the Inflammation and Cardiovascular Disease laboratory. He is an extensively experienced ex-vivo micro-vascular researcher with a vested interest in investigating the role of the immune system in atherosclerotic lesion development.

Dr Brassington's research aims to develop novel therapeutics which can be translated into life-saving clinical treatments in a "lab bench to bedside" approach.
