Dr James McFadyen is a Consultant Haematologist at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Research Fellow at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and Adjunct Associate Professor, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University and Baker Department of Cardiometabolic Health, University of Melbourne.
His clinical and research interests are in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. He has extensive experience in platelet biology, platelet functional assays, in vivo models of thrombosis and intravital imaging to investigate novel platelet-targeted therapeutics. He is a National Health and Medical Research Council and National Heart Foundation Research Fellow and Vice President of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand.
