I completed my Bachelor of Medicine at the Medical College of Qingdao University (China), followed by two years of training in cardiac surgery and clinical practice in the hospital's Cardiology Department. I then completed a Master of Cardiology at Crimea State Medical University before returning to the hospital to work as a cardiologist, specialising in PCI, hypertension and arrhythmia.
My project aims to investigate the effects of modulating plasmalogen lipids in a mouse model of atherosclerosis and unstable plaques, with the goal of protecting against atherosclerosis and preventing plaque destabilisation. I will also explore the relationship between plasmalogen modulation and the immune system in the setting of atherosclerosis, to elucidate the mechanistic effects of altering the lipid composition of immune cells.
