Esther Ye

B-BMED, University of Melbourne

Esther is a dedicated public health researcher with a strong foundation in evaluation and implementation science. She holds a Bachelor of Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne, where she is currently completing her Master of Public Health. Her interests lie at the intersection of policy and practice, with a focus on the full program lifecycle – from design and implementation to evaluation and research translation.

Her current Masters research, in partnership with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, involves developing an evaluation protocol to support the Victorian rollout of the Pathway to Good Health program. This initiative delivers multidisciplinary health assessments for children and young people entering out-of-home care.

As a research assistant in the NCDs and Implementation Science Lab, Esther contributes to global health projects focused on implementing cardiometabolic interventions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Her work spans multiple initiatives, including the GACD Implementation Science e-Hub, a resource supporting best practices in implementation science; the Shillong co-design project, aimed at strengthening community cardiometabolic interventions through participatory approaches; and the GACD Health Systems Strengthening Grant, which promotes more holistic models of care in resource-limited settings.

With a deep passion for evaluation methods and the application of implementation science theory, Esther is committed to strengthening program delivery and ensuring health interventions are effective, scalable, and sustainable.
