Iasmin Inocencio
Iasmin Inocencio completed her undergraduate degrees at Monash University Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science. After her Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science majoring in Formulation Science, she pursued an Honours with the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Drug Delivery Disposition & Dynamics. During her Honours degree she developed liposome formulation strategies and combined preclinical in vitro and in vivo methods to investigate the potential of delivering a nanocarrier therapy to the lymphatic system via intraperitoneal route of administration.
In 2018, she was employed as an R&D formulation scientist by Acrux Drug Delivery Solutions, involved in the method development of the topical drug product formulations, characterisation and release testing of various pharmaceutically active topical products.
In 2023, Iasmin joined the Molecular Proteomics laboratory at the Baker Institute as a PhD candidate (Baker Department of Cardiovascular Research, Translation and Implementation) where her project will utilise proteomics to investigate the molecular characteristics of cell surfaces in cardiac disease. Findings will contribute to the design of innovative therapeutic strategies enhancing targeted delivery.
