Alex Faulkner

BSc(Hons), Monash University

Completed a Bachelor of Science at Monash University in 2020, followed by the successful completion of an Honours research project in the Oldfield Metabolic Neuroscience laboratory in 2021 (Department of Physiology, Monash University). Honours research project investigated the role of the vagus nerve in mediating the efficacy of the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) in metabolic control.

Alex commenced working in the Metabolomics laboratory as a research assistant in 2022 with a keen interest in metabolism, obesity and scientific communication.

  • Awarded First Class Honours (HI) for Honours research thesis (2021)
