Seyed Sadegh Eslami

Sadegh holds a bachelor's degree in biological science. He started his master's in Medical Biotechnology and ranked among the top 1 per cent of applicants in the national medical universities' entrance exam for a master's degree, at the Iran university of medical science. As a research assistant, Sadegh has participated in various biomedical research studies conducted by the student research committee of the Iran university of medical science. Primarily he has a background in cancer cell signaling pathways, combinational therapy and drug-repurposing approaches. In addition, he has a background in developing novel drug delivery platforms.

In 2023, as a recipient of the La Trobe University Full-Fee Research Scholarship (LTUFFRS), the La Trobe University Graduate Research Scholarship (LTGRS), and Baker Institute Bright Sparks PhD Top Up Award, Sadegh started his research as a PhD student in the Molecular Proteomics laboratory at the Baker Institute. His interest in extracellular vesicles (EVs) has led him to continue researching around these vesicles with a regenerative perspective. His Ph.D. project is about studying signaling attributed regenerative capacity of iPSC-derived nano-vesicles(NVs) in cardiovascular disease(CVD). These attempts can increase our knowledge about complex signaling of CVD and pave the way for developing efficient therapeutic strategies.
