Workplace giving is an effortless way to make regular donations. Your donations are paid pre-tax, meaning your taxable income is reduced. For a small donation each paycheck, you can join the Baker Institute and help tackle the leading cause of death in Australia.
Contact your employer about joining their workplace giving program. You can nominate the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute as the recipient and the amount you want to donate. Donations are automatically deducted from each pay.
Once you’ve signed up, you don’t need to do anything else. The record keeping is taken care of and you receive a tax receipt at the end of the financial year.
If just 10% of working Australians gave $5 a week to a charity,
their contributions would amount to $300 million every year!
For employees
Workplace giving is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to donate to the Baker Institute from your pre-tax pay.
By signing up to support the Baker Institute via your workplace giving program, you’ll be helping to fund better ways of preventing and treating heart disease, diabetes and their complications. It doesn’t take much to make a difference, every donation leads us closer to life-saving breakthroughs.
Hosting a fundraising event or activity in your workplace is also a great way to raise funds and awareness for heart disease and diabetes. Whether it is a casual dress day, healthy morning tea, Friday social or fun run, there are loads of ideas to suit your workplace.
Why not put together a corporate team and take on a fitness challenge by joining our Team to Beat! However you choose to fundraise, we will be there every step of the way to help you along your journey.
For employers
Workplace giving is a great way to motivate your staff and provide greater meaning and purpose in their working lives. It can help shape the culture of your organisation, contribute to building team spirit and assist staff in developing their skills.
