Last year, we launched a capacity building campaign to accelerate our work in personalised medicine. With the collective generosity of 95,000 donations, we’ve raised an incredible $50M. The YOU campaign will help us to radically improve the way we predict, prevent and treat Australia’s biggest killers. Professor Tom Marwick answers our questions on what the YOU campaign is helping to achieve.
How will the YOU campaign help propel personalised medicine at the Baker Institute?
It’s helping us to make transformational investments, including securing some of the brightest scientific minds, scientists and researchers who will accelerate breakthroughs and discoveries in personalised medicine. It’s already enabled us to acquire state-of-the-art technologies and sophisticated equipment to help us perform our lifesaving work. It also facilitates collaborations with global leaders in personalised medicine, like our partnership with Cambridge University, as well as University of Melbourne, La Trobe, Swinburne and Deakin universities.
