Yes! The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient, meaning all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Your wonderful donation helps fund groundbreaking research into the prediction, prevention and treatment of heart disease and diabetes. 70% of every donation goes directly to funding our research, while 16% contributes to keeping the Institute operating, and 14% contributes to finance and growth activities.

Unfortunately, we are unable to allocate donations to specific research domains or projects as they have different funding requirements depending on the type and stage of research. Additionally, there are critical resources and services that benefit all our laboratories. We have a small but experienced and knowledgeable team who make sure our donations are deployed across the institute in the most effective and efficient way possible.

If you donated online, your receipt should be sent to the email address you provided us within a couple of hours.

If we don’t have this information, or you’ve requested for us not to email receipts, it will be posted to your street address. Posted receipts are usually received within a week, however depending on your location and delivery frequency, it may take up to three weeks.

If you’re having trouble locating your receipt, please email the team via fundraising@baker.edu.au and we can provide you a copy. If possible, please have your supporter number (it starts with a ‘D’ or ‘H’) and donation date handy.
