This webinar, hosted by Matt Keenan, features Dr Liz Paratz, whose latest project aims to explain the unexplained.

Unexplained cardiac death (UCD) is one of the biggest killers of young Australians. New research show that, every week, more than 12 young and healthy Victorians will die before their 50th birthday from unexplained cardiac death.

Currently, the sudden death of these young Australians leave very few answers for their grieving families as to why they were taken so young and if they too may be at risk for a similar fate.

Recognising the urgent answers these families need, Dr Liz Paratz has undertaken her PhD research in establishing Australia’s first comprehensive unexplained cardiac arrest/death registry, called the Unexplained Cardiac Death Project.
